In recent events, I find this statement ringing true. Student teaching ended the week of Thanksgiving. Timing was off so I could not make it back home in time for Turkey Day. Student teaching ended part way through the first semester of the school year which is not the prime time to find a job. Instead, I find myself working as a wireless phone salesman in Costco. This job has nothing to do with my chosen career and is quite discouraging. I left Las Vegas on November 24th. A pre-employment packet for teaching was sent to me the week I left. I missed receiving the packet. Now I have to make a trip to Las Vegas just to get finger printed and TB tested for the school district. If timing was perfect, I would be starting my career. All throughout my life timing has not been perfect. Timing was imperfect when I wanted to go on a mission. I can't seem to get the timing down for anything. I definitely cannot dance.
On a brighter note, my feelings have been released and I no longer feel for a person. I've been released from thoughts of what could have been. Happy day!

Student Teaching and Las Vegas
Well today marked the end of my undergraduate college career. I finished my student teaching in lovely Las Vegas and I am feeling quite sad about it. For the time being I have to go back to Montana. Things started out rough in Las Vegas. At first I did not enjoy the city at all. But over the past few weeks, Las Vegas has won over my heart. Since I am a sports guy, I have created the AndyCenter Top Ten to Stay.
10) The education system here needs a lot of work and I want to stay here to help change these kids.
9) Although these kids have been a pain in my ars, I love them and I will miss my students.
8) Shopping. Any store you can imagine is in Las Vegas and relatively close by. The Nike Store is fantastic.
7) The weather is unbelievable here. When I first got here, it was 120 degrees. Now that that is over, I love it here. I think I have adapted to the weather because it is 50 degrees out and I am freezing cold nowadays. Definitely no -10 degree days.
6) Las Vegas shows. The entertainment here is phenomenal. In the past couple months I have gone to a few concerts (Montana doesn't have a wide variety of concerts), seen some Las Vegas shows, and people watching here is one of my favorite things to do because people are so goofy.
5) Casinos. Enough said.
4) Any kind of food is available in Las Vegas. I love to eat, so the huge variety of cuisine is heaven.
3) UNLV sporting events. At lovely BYU-I DO there is no intercollegiate sports just a glorified intermurals program. So since being here I have been to a volleyball game, multiple football games, and a basketball game. I pretty much missed out on the whole "real" college experience by sheltering myself in Rexburg and I have pretty much adopted UNLV as my college team to support out west.
2) There is ALWAYS something to do here in Las Vegas. Stores close late and restaurants are open late. There is plenty to do here for the Mo-Mo crowd.
And the top reason I want to stay here: Jobs are available for teaching and they pay WAY better than Montana, Idaho, or Utah.
